I'm Zacharoula. I come from Greece and I'm a licensed teacher of modern Greek. I have a Master's degree of Mediterranean Studies. I have a lot of experience in on-line teaching. I truly love Greece and I really like teaching Greek. I would like as many people as possible to know the reach culture of my country better.

I'm also a volunteer - I run international workshops concerning social topics.

I speak Greek, English and communicative Polish.

Christmas is such a loveable celebration 💖 What do Greeks do for Christmas and New Year’s Eve? Let’s find out! In this webinar we will learn about:

- Greek customs for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, such as «τα κάλαντα» (ta kálada = carols) 🎶

- Folk tales and stories about the goblins known as «οι καλικάντζαροι» (i kalikántzari) 👺

- Popular delicacies for the period of Christmas and the New Year, such as «τα μελομακάρονα» (ta melomakárona = honey cookies) and «η βασιλόπιτα» (i vasilópita = New Year’s Day cake) 🥮

- Christmas-related vocabulary and common wishes, such as «ο Άγιος Βασίλης» (o ághios vasílis = Santa Claus), «Καλά Χριστούγεννα» (kalá hristúghena = Merry Christmas) and «Καλή χρονιά» (kalí hroniá = Happy New Year) 🎄
